Epinions Apple 80GB Classic iPod: A Gadget That’s Worth The Hype!

by  noangels,  Jun 14, 2008
Pros: Excellent features, large capacity, sleek, good battery life, easy to use
Cons: Back scratches easily (it can be prevented with a case)
The Bottom Line: This is a great gadget for music lovers of all ages. Whether an upgrade or a new purchase, this will satisfy all of your personal multimedia needs.
Review: I digitized my music collection in my first year of college after space and time constraints made juggling my CD collection increasingly frustrating. The transition coincided with my discovery of iTunes; this fabulous music player and organizational ...

Epinions First Impressions of a New Classic

by  NisMax,  Sep 30, 2007
Pros: More storage for the same price as the previous generation. More battery life.
Cons: Some people may not like the new screen layout with the menus cut in half.
The Bottom Line: Apple never ceases to keep it's products changing and update, the iPod Classic is not simply a name change, it's a new iPod, and you'll like the changes
Review: Don't let the name "Classic" fool you, this is a new iPod. The naming scheme basically comes into play because of the new iPod Touch which was released in the wake of the iPhone. Apple decided to give those of us who aren't all ga-ga over the touch ...

Epinions It's All About Presentation

by  excremento,  Dec 24, 2007
Pros: Massive storage, great sound, superb Apple design, long battery life, navigation enhancements
Cons: Still scratches easily, included earbuds are lousy, be sure to upgrade
The Bottom Line: Best non-touch screen iPod yet. Industry-leading sound quality and ease-of-use, combined with huge capacity, amazing battery life and new interface enhance the user experience.
Review: More than three years ago, I wrote a review about my first iPod, a 20 GB 4th gen model. I'm now on my third iPod, after having an 80-GB 5th gen model. For me, the iPod Classic is the best non-touch screen iPod Apple ...

Epinions Apple iPod Classic (80GB) Digital Media Player

by  bostonguy72,  Oct 28, 2007
Pros: More storage space for the same money, and a beautiful screen.
Cons: Menu changes can sometimes be slow; some accessories may need to be replaced.
The Bottom Line: Apple does a great job making great products that are well worth the price. This new iPod is no exception!
Review: First of all, don't think that "Classic" means you'll be getting your older sibling's handed down iPod. "Classic" is meant to differentiate the original-style iPod from the newer iPod Touch, which sports the sleek styling of the iPhone. Right off ...

Epinions The Ipod Classic Is A Hit!

by  dnhoshor,  Dec 2, 2007
Pros: Sounds great, looks great, tons of storage. It's the standard others compare themselves to.
Cons: Miniature hard disk drive is more fragile than flash memory music devices.
The Bottom Line: It's the standard and for good reasons. The storage is huge, it's easy to use, and looks and sounds good
Review: Face it. The iPod has set the standard for portable personal media entertainment. It's the one that all the other guys, SanDisk, Creative, MS Zune, etc. have to compare themselves to. The iPod Classic has raised the bar again. As a former user of the ...

Epinions Great all-in-one mp3 player

by  kaka,  Dec 15, 2007
Pros: sleek, light, aesthetically cool, sound quality superb, easy to use, has radio and recorder
Cons: doesn't come with a jacket, and hard to find a jacket because it's so new
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend it for anyone who is looking for an alternative to ipod, and who is looking for more features than ipod
Review: Just as everyone is crazy about ipods, and that tons of assessories are designed and manufactured for ipods, I find the features in ipods are very limiting. My previous mp3 player was an iriver, where the sound quality was satisfactory. However, I ...

by  susan6368,  Jan 4, 2008
Pros: Lots of memory, simple to use, clean, attractive style.
Cons: Poor quality earbuds, fragile hard drive
The Bottom Line: I would recommend this for any audiophile- lots of storage and classic style!
Review: I purchased the 80GB i-pod about 1 month ago as a replacement for a 30GB i-pod. All I can say is this i-pod is GREAT! I loved my 30GB- it just didn't have enough storage for me. So when I decided to replace it, I got the 80GB. I love the features- the ...

Epinions Don't Know How I Lived Without It

by  michellepk,  May 17, 2008
Pros: small, easy to use, reliable, great battery life
Cons: annoying procedure for updating photos, contacts, games
The Bottom Line: A great buy--lot of storage for music and podcasts, easy to use, and convenient
Review: I had one of the very first iPods and I loved it . . . but that's not to say there were no problems. Happily, this model seems to have solved the most pressing--especially the issue of the poor battery life on some earlier models. With this iPod, I ...

Pros: Hard drive, fast loading, and all the features it can hold
Cons: Comes with bad headphones
The Bottom Line: This iPod is definitely worth getting, you will fall in love with it.
Review: When I was first looking to buy an iPod, I was looking for an iPod touch, or the 3rd generation iPod nano. I realized after research that the iPod touch was overpriced, and the iPod nano did not have all the features I needed. And then I found the 80 gig ...

by  daveragan,  Mar 6, 2008
Pros: Capacity, battery life, durability, screen quality.
Cons: Back scratches easily, somewhat hefty.
The Bottom Line: If you're considering buying an ipod, buy this one. This player is THE best choice in today's current market.
